I think his biggest strength is his ability to isolate fights into 1v1 scenarios where your teammate has orb of harmony, and the person they are fighting has discord. I can heal, and if my team can't kill, well I can do that too. Tracer couldn't touch you and you could snipe people with charged shots who already have discord. You should've played him beta when his orbs lasted forever. If you had Zen flair I'd bring you up infront of the Shambali council for TREASON. You'll always get focused as a healer and right now only Ana can fight back (and focus that damn Pharah that my snipers team can't shoot or can't see because they're stuck on one axis or something), but yeah, maybe her kit is too much, i don't know, Mercy and Zen could get small buffs here and there now that she's too dominant in the meta (Mercy adding one spell maybe, Zen rework his right click because it's good but stops if you do something else like throwing your E or heal someone). The problem isn't the healers not doing their job (I'd say they're balanced because they all do different things), but the one shot potentials along with the dives, if you see Genji playing Mercy, you'll probably die, Ana can try to kill him or stun him, Zen could do better but his heal is slow, pretty insignificant, a good widow/hanzo would also one shot any healer (Hanzo having a literal one-shot potential even as a body shot, or bullshit geometry). Mercy can't DPS so she requires a team ready to protect her, Zen is mostly DPS, his heal is mostly on ult and there's only Lucio left to heal (which is still extremely meta because the speed boost has much more value than Ana's kit). I'd say Ana is the best choice to be at peace against DPS, even though Zen is also really good, Ana is the compromise between DPS and heal.
